IELTS (INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM)

IELTS test is based on British English and accepted by all countries. This test available in two types, ‘Academic’ for Study Visa and ‘General’ for Work Permit of Immigration Purpose. This test is available in 2 formats, ‘Pen-Paper Based’ & ‘Computer Based Test’.

IELTS Listening

Each set of listening test has 4 sections comprises 10 questions in each section. Student get 40 minutes to listen the audio and answer the question. This module helps to increase to listening ability. The test takes through listening recording play for 30 minutes and answers the questions simultaneously. 10 minutes given to go through the questions before audio starts.

IELTS Reading

This is comprehension-based test. Each test has 3 passages comprising 40 questions to be completed in 60 minutes. 20 minutes for each passage. 1st & 2nd passage have 13-13 question and 3rd passage have 14 questions.

IELTS Writing

This test is divided in 2 formats, 1st task is tables, graphs or picture based, and 20 minutes are given to convert picture in to word high lighting main features, there is word limit of 150 at least. 2nd task is essay based and 40 minutes are given to complete. Essay is usually topic based and this could be related to health, environment, society or social issues, daily life issues, international politics etc.

IELTS Speaking

This is face to face and quite informal speaking test with examiner either in a room or through video call. This test is divided in 3 Parts and lasts for only 11-15 minutes. Part 1 & 3 are question/answers. Part 2 is que card topics and student are given 2 min with 1 min preparations.

Overall Score – 9 Band

Score Validity – 2 years

For admission in Diploma/Bachelor level programme Over-all requirement is 6.0 (5.5)

For admission in PG Diploma/Master/PhD level programme Over-all requirement is 6.5 (6.0)
